Dear Angel:
I am very confused in a lot of areas of my life. My husband is not living with me during the week and only comes home on the weekends, which is a stress for me. I think I would prefer him not to come home at all. I have three children and am working two part time jobs to support them. My husband is working but is not earning much money he is flat out making a $300 a week house payment. My husband comes home on the weekend to wash his clothes and eat what little food I have, offering nothing in the way of help to buy food. I would really like to get a full time job where I can get holidays and the payment benefits of a full time job. So I have a lot of issues to sort out and after months am getting nowhere. My husband has always put other people and jobs before me and the kids and I have had enough. He has driven me away and I wish he would just leave me alone. I have told him I am giving the relationship until June but I am sure there is no relationship and wish he would just leave me alone. The more I try to talk to him the more he doesn't listen so I have given up I wish he would just stay away. I don't know what to do about the money situation we had a business which finished last April and I am still paying the bills from the business as all the credit was stupidly in my name so I am the one they are all chasing for money. As soon as I think I have one bill out of the way another two come in. I am trying to find work as a receptionist or along those lines I am at present working for 2 different accountants but they don't have much work this time of the year and I am only getting 2 days a week work which will not help to pay the bills and buy food.
Please if you can help me at all, that would be just great.
A.
The first thing to do is to find a good attorney that will help you file for divorce and get child support to help with their expenses. You should also talk to the attorney about helping you with a payment plan for your creditors from the business. If that is a problem for you then ask about filing bankruptcy. Tell your husband that the weekend hotel is closed and to find a Laundromat to wash his own clothes.
Once you get him out of your hair and the creditors set up on payments, look into organizations that will help single parents find work and aid with babysitting.
Check with your attorney on the business. Although the credit is listed in your name, if his name is on the business anywhere, as your spouse, he may be made liable for a portion of the debt.
Your Questions are Welcome
