My mate killed himself June 28 1998, and I can't seem to go on. I can still see that day as if it were yesterday.

He & I had been out side on the porch when he ask for a kiss and he went inside the front door put the gun under his chin and pulled the trigger, I could hear him hit the floor. I ran inside and found him. I guess I need to know if it ever gets easier, and will I be able to look at another man with thinking that he too will hurt me????

Without some outside help it will possibly never get any easier for you.

To lose a loved one as tragically as you have would make anyone afraid of another relationship.

Please find a grief support group near you. If there are none close, ask your doctor to recommend a therapist that specializes in grief counseling.

You will never forget what happened that day, but with help, you will learn to trust people without being afraid.
