Dear Angel:
I am a single mother of three children and have been married twice. My children are from my first marriage. My second husband attacked me in our home, choked me, hit me, bit me on the face and swore that I was going to die. If not that day, he said he would get me some day.
I have two ruptured disks in my back and because of this cannot work. I am always contemplating suicide because I have a hard time dealing with everything. I cannot go out in public or leave my house without having anxiety attacks.
He was not sentenced to jail and the police treated me awful and took my statement down incorrectly. I had a witness on the statement.
I know that it won't be much longer when I finally give up. I have tried and cannot get through this.
I think people should be aware of domestic violence and that it should always be a felony charge.
I will leave this world violated and disgraced.
I hope that in the future there will be help for women so that they don't have to feel this way.
Sorry, this really is not a question.
A.
I'm so sorry for what you have been through. There is help out there for you.
Call your local mental health agency and ask for a number for the closest family violence hotline. They will help you get through this. They have shelters that you and your children can go to if he is a threat to you and they have counselors available to help you with your anxiety attacks.
They will help you file a restraining order against your husband to keep him away from you and if he tries to get to you, they will help you file charges that will stick and put him away.
Before you think any more about leaving this world, think about your children and what that would do to them to lose their mother.
Please call today... they will help you and protect you.
Your Questions are Welcome
